Summer Music Camp @ University of Georgia
The University of Georgia Summer Music Camp is a dynamic five-day experience that provides students with a unique opportunity to grow musically in a fun and engaging environment. Campers attend academic classes that enhance key areas of musicianship and participate in instrument-specific masterclasses led by the esteemed faculty of UGA’s Hugh Hodgson School of Music. Band, orchestra, and chorus students rehearse and perform in large ensembles, while piano students concentrate on performance techniques and the standard repertoire for their instrument.
In addition to their musical growth, campers will have plenty of opportunities to socialize, build relationships with fellow musicians, and experience life on a vibrant university campus. Concentrations include orchestra, band, chorus, piano, and jazz band. Admission is open to all students with no audition required; high school students (rising 9th grade and up) will undergo placement auditions on the first day of camp.
